When it comes to your home, any loss can be devastating. By working together with your insurance company and Semper Fi, LLC we can make the repair process much easier. A few suggestions that will help to speed the process are:
1. Contact your insurance carrier right away.
2. Your safety is of primary concern so stay clear of any damaged areas.
3. If safely possible, move furniture or other items of value to an unaffected area of your home to prevent further damage to them.
4. Make a list of everything that has been damaged or destroyed for your insurance adjuster. Receipts, credit card statements, canceled checks or owner's manuals will be very helpful. The more information you can provide your insurance adjuster the faster they can process your claim.

5. Do not try to clean damaged items. Cleaning damaged items without the proper equipment can do more harm than good.
6. Save your receipts for any costs that you incur due to your loss (cleaning, water extraction, etc.) as your insurance provider may reimburse you for these expenses.
Typical job flow for an insurance claim
1. Semper Fi, LLC is contacted either by the homeowner or your insurance carrier and informed of the damages that have occurred.
2. An appointment is made with the homeowner and Semper Fi, LLC goes to your home to inspect the damages.
3. Once the inspection is completed a scope of work (estimate of repairs) is composed and presented to the homeowner and your insurance adjuster.
4. Once the scope of work has been approved a work authorization is signed and Semper Fi, LLC can begin work.
5. In many cases the check(s) from your insurance carrier will be made payable to the homeowner(s), Semper Fi, LLC and your mortgage company. In cases such as this it can take several days in order for all parties to sign off on the check and the funds made available. In addition, if Semper Fi, LLC is performing additional work (work that your insurance carrier is not paying for) we will issue an "Additional Work Authorization" which you would sign and will show the additional costs that you will be responsible for.
